Unit & Gas Converter

Convert any Ethereum / EVM denomination — Wei, Gwei, Szabo, Finney, Ether — plus cross-chain units like Bitcoin Satoshis and Solana Lamports to SOL. Then check live gas fees across Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base in Gwei and USD. No account, no install.

Gas prices read directly from each network's public RPC. USD figures use the live ETH price; L2 (Arbitrum, Base) numbers exclude the L1 data fee and are a close lower bound.

Ethereum & EVM denominations

EVM denominations are a base-1,000 scale from Wei (the smallest unit) up to Ether. Multiply by 1,000 at each step — so 1 Ether is exactly 10^18 Wei and 1 Gwei is 10^9 Wei.

UnitWei per unitTypical use
Wei1Smallest EVM unit; used in gas math and contract internals.
Kwei (Babbage)1,000Rarely shown in wallets; historical denomination.
Mwei (Lovelace)1,000,000Also rarely surfaced; 1/1,000 of a Gwei.
Gwei (Shannon)1,000,000,000The unit gas prices are quoted in.
Szabo1,000,000,000,0001 microether; mostly of historical interest.
Finney1,000,000,000,000,0001 milliether; mostly of historical interest.
Ether (ETH)1,000,000,000,000,000,000The unit users actually hold and trade.
Kether1,000,000,000,000,000,000,0001,000 ETH; used when writing very large amounts.

How the conversions work

Wei to Gwei

1 Gwei = 1,000,000,000 Wei. Gas prices are always quoted in Gwei, while contract math runs in Wei. To go Wei → Gwei, divide by 10^9; Gwei → Wei, multiply by 10^9.

ETH to Satoshis

Both are price-dependent: 1 ETH = (ETH price ÷ BTC price) BTC, and 1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis. The converter pulls live prices so the figure is current, not a stale static number.

Solana Lamports to SOL

1 SOL = 1,000,000,000 Lamports — a fixed protocol ratio, just like Wei to Ether. No price is involved, so the conversion is always exact.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert Wei to Gwei?
Divide the Wei amount by 1,000,000,000 (10^9). One Gwei equals exactly one billion Wei, because "Gwei" is short for Gigawei. Our converter does this instantly — type a Wei or Gwei amount and every other denomination updates live.
How many Wei are in one Ether?
There are exactly 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 Wei (10^18) in 1 Ether. EVM denominations are a powers-of-1,000 scale: Wei → Kwei → Mwei → Gwei → Szabo → Finney → Ether, each step multiplying by 1,000.
How do I convert ETH to Satoshis?
ETH to Satoshis is price-dependent: 1 ETH = (ETH price ÷ BTC price) BTC, and 1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis. The converter fetches live ETH and BTC prices and shows the current equivalent. Because the ratio moves with the market, re-check before any on-chain transfer.
How many Lamports are in one SOL?
There are exactly 1,000,000,000 Lamports (10^9) in 1 SOL — a fixed ratio set by the Solana protocol, independent of price. Type a Lamport or SOL amount above to convert both ways instantly.
What is a good gas fee right now?
Use the live gas panel above. On Ethereum, "low" is roughly under 20 Gwei, "normal" 20–60 Gwei, and "high" above 60 Gwei. Arbitrum and Base are typically a fraction of a Gwei and cost only cents for a standard transfer. These are network readouts, not advice.
Is this converter free to use?
Yes. The Unit & Gas Converter is completely free, requires no account, and fetches gas prices directly from each network’s public RPC. There is nothing to install.
Why does my ETH-to-Satoshi number change over time?
Because it is derived from the live ETH/USD and BTC/USD market prices. The EVM-to-EVM ratios (Wei, Gwei, Ether) never change, but any cross-asset figure tracks the market and refreshes about every minute.
