Where node data comes from
HeliumNo public API
No public node API
Helium’s documented REST API (api.helium.io) no longer exists — the hostname returns NXDOMAIN, and neither the mobile./iot. subdomains nor the api.helium.com / api.heliumfoundation.io variants resolve. Since the move to Solana there is no public machine-readable network-stats endpoint; hotspot counts survive only inside the explorer and in research reports.

io.net publishes no public network-stats API. Its device/GPU endpoints (api.io.solutions, the IO Explorer backend) are private and undocumented — the operator’s own incident write-ups confirm the fleet is managed through internal services. The supply figures on its explorer are not exposed as a documented feed.
HivemapperNo public API
No public node API
Hivemapper exposes its map data through a key-gated commercial API (Map Credits), and no public network-stats endpoint exists — api.hivemapper.com does not even resolve. Node and coverage figures are published only in its explorer and in research reports.
GrassNo public API
No public node API
Grass publishes no public node API — its backend (api.getgrass.io) is an internal, undocumented tRPC service. Node/device totals appear only in the logged-in dashboard and third-party trackers.
NodePayNo public API
No public node API
NodePay has no public network-stats API; the project pivoted its bandwidth product into a Signal Engine, and the old device counters are no longer published in machine-readable form.
